Each year, Gulf Coast JFCS supports nearly 30,000 people in need from babies to seniors. Your time and talent extends that reach to help our community where it matters most.

Pinellas County:

Pasco County:

  • Play games or sing karaoke with adults in residential treatment.
  • Get glam with youth or adults in crisis.
  • Maintain a garden or beautify indoor living spaces at one of our behavioral health facilities.

Hillsborough County:

  • Entertain seniors, Holocaust survivors, residential care residents, or children in foster care with games, karaoke, or crafts.
  • Making planters for senior residents at Heron & Egret Housing.
  • Sort food donations for seniors and differently abled individuals in Heron & Egret Housing.
  • Spend the afternoon as reading buddies, run a group craft activity, play kick ball or soccer with elementary school scholars.
  • Host a mock interview session for job-seekers and new entrepreneurs.
  • Host a headshot party for job-seekers.
  • Sort and deliver gifts, diapers, or household items for clients in need.

Virtual:

  • Host a mock interview session for job-seekers and new entrepreneurs.
  • Host an online supply drive.
  • Host monthly technology series on relevant topics such as AI use cases, MS tools best practices, etc.
  • In conjunction with the agency AI Strategy: Support execution of AI use cases for program process improvements.
  • Host a Heart Gallery featuring art made by children awaiting adoption.
  • Host an online fundraiser:
    • The Holocaust Survivor Urgent Care Fund provides essential home care and support for survivors to remain home with dignity. Donations are doubled with a match from Kavod SHEF!
    • The Refugee Assistance THRIVE Fund funds self-sufficiency for courageous refugees and their families.

Anywhere:

  • Sort and deliver gifts & household items for clients in need.
  • Host a seasonal drive-through supply pick-up for holidays or special events.
  • Record training sessions around general technology and tools to beginner users.
  • Collect group tickets to local entertainment or cultural events
  • Collect items to help raise funds for programs.
  • Outdoor clean-up at a Gulf Coast JFCS facility in the Greater Tampa Bay area.
  • Hosting & Organizing a supply drive includes: ‘Fill the Bucket’ cleaning supply drive, Housewarming & Baby Shower drives including kitchen and daily living items, School Supply Drive, Holiday Gift and Toy Drive, ‘Totes of Hope’ Hygiene & Toiletry gift bags, and our Spring and Fall Food Drive all organized through our William and Sally Israel Food Pantry serving all clients of Gulf Coast JFCS.
